NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

FAIR VOTE CANADA WATERLOO REGION CHAPTER

 

 

MONDAY, JUNE 8, 2009

7:00 P.M.

 

 

COMMUNITY MEETING ROOM, SECOND FLOOR, ZEHRS STORE

LAURENTIAN POWER CENTRE

750 OTTAWA STREET SOUTH, KITCHENER

 

 

The meeting will include elections to the board of the Fair Vote Canada
Waterloo Region Chapter.  A few board members are stepping down, including
current chapter co-chair Angela Yenssen, so several spaces will be available
on the board for interested members.

 

The meeting will also feature a roundtable discussion on the future of the
electoral reform movement in Canada in light of the recent referenda in
Ontario and British Columbia.  This discussion will include Angela Yenssen
sharing research she completed for her Master's degree in Public Policy,
Administration and Law regarding voting rights in the Charter of Rights and
Freedoms.
