[fvc-wat-announce] Anita Nickerson is the new interim E. D. of Fair Vote Canada

Hello All Fair Voting Friends in Waterloo Region,

The National Council of Fair Vote Canada has just announced the appointment
of Anita Nickerson as the interim Executive Director of FVC. On behalf of
FVC- WR we offer Anita our hearty congratulations and all the very best in
her new position as interim ED.

As we all know, it has been Anita's extraordinary commitment to
establishing a fair voting system for Canada that led to our own active
chapter here in Waterloo Region. The Waterloo Region chapter of
FVCwouldn't be here if it wasn't for Anita's long hours and constant
efforts
to raise the issue of a fair voting system for Canada. Without question
Anita's experience, commitment, creativity and organizational ability with
serve FVC as well as it has for our chapter.

Wayne Smith leaves us after several years of excellent work on behalf of
the fair voting movement. We wish him all the very best in his future
endeavours and want to express our thanks to Wayne for his efforts to bring
fair voting to Canada.
