Good Morning FairVoters,

2015 in underway and we are edging toward the last unfair federal election.

We have two upcoming events that might be of interest to you.

On Tuesday, January 20th at 9:30, our chapter will meet with Harold
Albrecht to present him with the petition we gathered over the summer. We
will ask Mr. Albrecht to present our petition to the House of Commons. Mr.
Albrecht will meet with us for 45 minutes which will give us time to have a
good discussion about fair and unfair elections. If you are a constituent
of Kitchener-Conestoga and would like to join us at the Jan. 20th meeting,
please let me know & I will ask to have your name added to the list of
attendees.

We are co-sponsoring the Guelph Chapter of FairVote Canada's town hall on
the Robocall crisis. The town hall is Sunday, Jan. 25th. 2-4 PM at St.
John the Apostle Church, 86 Glasgow in Guelph. The line up of speakers is
excellent: Micheal Keefer. former UoG professor is writing a book on the
Robocall crisis will speak as will Anne Budra, the Guelph returning
officer, and a number of people who received a robocall. The event is a
timely reminder of the risks to our electoral system as we prepare for the
next federal election. More information on the event is on the attached
poster.

Kind regards,
Sharon
