[fvc-wat-announce] Last night with Peter Smoczynski

Hello FairVoting Friends,

Thank you to everyone who attended last night's talk with filmmaker Peter
Smocznyski.

Peter told the story of voter suppression during the 2011 federal election
from a filmmaker's point of view.  He screened interview clips which
addressed the technical aspects of voter suppression, the legal
consequences, how the story broke & evolved and for some, the personal
consequences.  Peter's presentation was a powerful indictment of those who
attempted to undermine Canadian's right to vote.

FVC - Guelph will be hosting Peter this Saturday at 2 pm at The Bookshelf,
41 Quebec Street in Guelph.  Tickets are $20.  There is a reception follow
the presentation.

We will look forward to screening Election Day in Canada: The Rise of Voter
Suppression, when it is finished later this year.
