Hello FairVoting Friends,

With only 21 days left to election day, things couldn't be busier.  There
are three events to keep in mind as you plan your week and FVC- WR could us
some help this week as well.

Here is what is going on:

SILENCING DISSENT - A PANEL DISCUSSION
Tuesday, September 29th - 7 pm
 KPL, Main Branch - 85 Queen Street in Kitchener

Kelly Carmichael, ED of FVC will participate in a discussion of the methods
and implications that silencing dissent has for Canadians.  If you are
concerned about our rights and freedoms this is a must attend event.

KITCHENER - CONESTOGA ALL CANDIDATES MEETING ON ELECTORAL REFORM
Saturday, October 3 - 2:30 pm
Forest Heights Library - 251 Fisher-Halman, Kitchener

Join the Green, NDP and Liberal candidates to discuss their personal
commitment to proportional representation and their party's platform on
fair elections.  A must if you live in the riding of Kitchener-Conestoga.

SCREENING OF "ELECTION DAY IN CANADA"
Saturday, October 3 - 2:30 pm
Bookshelf Cinema, 43 Quebec Street, Guelph

Last spring FVC-WR hosted filmmaker, Peter Smoczynski in K-W.  Peter will
be in Guelph to share the first cut of "Election Day in Canada - The Rise
of Voter Suppression" at the Bookshelf Cinema, 43 Quebec Street, in Guelph.
$20 at the door. Reception to follow.

ELECTION SIGNS IN SUPPORT OF PR!

We have 25 large election signs in support of PR that we want to put up
around the region. The signs are suitable for busy streets & we will need
help to put them up in the next week. If you know of a good location and
can put up a sign, please let me know and we will get the sign to you!

Hope to see people out to these great events and PR signs every where
around the region!

We can look forward to a change of our electoral system, if we support
candidates who support PR on October 19th.
