[fvc-wat-announce] Tell Your MP To Vote For Electoral Reform On May 31st

Hello FairVoting Friends,

As many of you know, the NDP has a motion scheduled for May 31st to ask
parliament to adopt the recommendations in the ERRE committee report. The
primary recommendation is to move to a moderate form of proportional
representation. All Waterloo Region Liberal MPs campaigned on electoral
reform and this vote is an opportunity for them to keep their campaign
promise.  We expect that all the NDP & Conservative MPs and Elizabeth May
will vote in favour of the motion.  For it to pass, 20 Liberal MPs have to
support it.

We are asking that Raj, Marwan and Bryan vote for the motion.  To convince
them that they should, could you give them a call on either the 29th or
30th of May?

We have a great computer system called  "click and call" to call Raj.  If
you live in Kitchener Centre you can register here:

and the computer program will call you on the 29th/30th to connect you
directly to Raj's office.

For Marwan or Bryan you will need to call their offices:

As a member of cabinet, Bardish is required to vote with the government and
wouldn't consider voting for the motion.  If you are a constituent of
Bardish's, it would be worthwhile to call on the 29th & 30th to remind her
that you haven't forgotten about their electoral reform promise. Her
constituency office number is: 519 746 1573.
