Hi Mark,

This is an email from Nick Rolfe, a member of our executive here in
Waterloo. He has been in touch with the FEDS (UW Student Gov't) as you can
see in the emails below. I know that you're talking to people at CFS, so if
you have feedback, then we would be happy to hear it.

Cheers,
Derek

This is from the Feds VP Ed. Any thoughts on how we should approach this?

Nick: Wondering specifically what you might like to talk about. I would
concur with Councilor Daley in that we try to focus our political
involvement to select areas, especially at the provincial (and federal)
level.
Would imagine this office would be interested in ensuring students
are
aware of the referendum and informing them of the choice and options (likely
in an impartial way) as it will be an important yet poorly understood choice
being made.
        Let me know.

Cheers, Jeff

Hello

I'm part of the Waterloo chapter of Fair Vote Canada, a non-partisan
electoral
reform lobby group. We were interested in talking with FEDS, since it seems
quite involved in political issues, and electoral reform is arguably
something
that would benefit students. Any suggestions on how to proceed with this?

Cheers,
Nick

P.S. Here's a link to Fair Vote Canada' website if you want to find out more
about the group.
