[fvc-wat-disc] All-candidates debate mishap

So I went down to Grey Silo golf course (!?) tonight to attend the
K-W all-candidates meeting and put out our literature. We were *not*
permitted to put out literature on the literature table. I was given
the reason that it was "not neutral" and that they would accept only
neutral (i.e. Referendum Ontario) material there. (Because, you know,
it's a debate. There's no place for partisan material at an
ALL-CANDIDATES MEETING.)

To add insult to injury, they *confiscated* the black OCA books that
another candidate (Judy Greenwood-Speers) had included with her other
campaign literature. Those were not our OCA books. Judy had ordered
them for her own campaign.

In other news, Liberal candidate Louise Ervin said that she had
carefully studied the proposal and did not like it because the 30
(sic) list MPPs would be appointed and not elected, and because the
number of elected (i.e. riding) MPPs would go down to 90. That's
right. A candidate for our riding studied the proposal so thoroughly
that she did not get the number of seats correct. (That's not a slam
against the Liberals. It's a slam against the level of education
around this issue, which the Record is doing its best to stymie.)

If you don't believe me about the referendum literature confiscation,
ask Adam Glauser.

If you don't believe me about Ervin, watch the debate (which the
Record may publish online).

I don't know what to do about this. I am thoroughly frustrated.
