Hi All,

I find it very instructive to note that every MP is actually elected by the
number of voters who voted for the second place candidate plus one.  So,
the total number of votes "wasted" (defined as votes that did not actually
elect anyone) is equal to the total votes cast minus that number.  I.E.
Wasted = total votes cast - (votes for second place person +1).  Looked at
in this manner the number of "wasted" votes is huge.
