Hello FairVoting Friends,

We are developing a new PR presentation. If you would like to be involved
in anyway: writing text, proof reading, contributing ideas, please take a
look at the draft outline which is below.

Bob put a number of current presentations at one site for us to take a look
at as we work through the building process. Here is the link to those
resources:

 http://www.fairvotewrc.ca/resources/

The very first thing we will need to do is establish at framework for our
work:

Objective

Target Audience

Length

Some thoughts on our objective: The broad goal is education. To give people
clear & understandable information so they can be better informed about
electoral systems in general and specifically proportional representation.
                                                    To produce an engaging
& professional presentation which gives an interested person an overview of
the principles & strengths of PR, explains the 3 primary PR systems
relative to the Cdn context for a basic understanding of PR, answers a
number of frequently asked questions including addressing misinformation
about proportional systems in under 15 minutes.
                                                    To generate discussion
and be part of the national conversation Cdns. will have in the next year.

We will also need presenters notes which will be the core of the
information & discussion, handouts which might have additional
resources ie the link to the Grey & Pillion videos and links to the studies
and evidence which supports PR. My concern is that to include the studies
and evidence as anything more than a reference is time consuming and a
difficult communication/design task. And, we will need some mechanism for
feedback.

Looking forward to hearing your comments, views, additions, deletions and
anything else! :)

Kind regards,
Sharon
