Hello FairVoters!

We received this request from Anita Nickerson last week. We are in urgent
need of people to tweet questions to the Electoral Reform Committee in late
July. We were out numbered by people asking for a referendum last week and
really need to do better.

Details are in the letter below. If you can help, could you contact Anita
and cc me so I don't bother you again!

With thanks,
Sharon

Hi Sharon and Jenn.

As you probably know, every time the Electoral Reform Committee meets they
are inviting the public to submit questions at #ERRE #Q.

During the last session, the referendum advocates pretty much won the day
on Twitter with 16/29 questions (adding to the fact that the Conservatives
spend 99% of their speaking and questioning time making the same demands
about referendums and asking witnesses the same questions over and over
they're building their story about most Canadians want a referendum).

*We need help to make sure that lots of PR supporters are tweeting great
questions, and retweeting the good questions/comments of others. *That
helps show strong support for PR and drown out the calls for a referendum.

What we'd like to do is ask our team to sign up as many people as we can
into slots where they commit to be on twitter following that hashtag at a
specific time.

We'll let our tweeters know ahead of time what witnesses will be appearing
that day, what they might expect to hear, and what some good question
topics might be.

*Can you help with this by asking those you know are on twitter to contact
me about helping us?*

Here is the committee meeting schedule for July - basically, July 25-28.
They haven't actually specified the times AM and PM but so far they've been
10 AM - 12 PM and 2-4 PM EST.

If you can ask people to volunteer and to tell me the info below that would
be a big help.

a) What dates/times they are available
b) Their twitter handle
c) Their email

Thanks so much for any help!!

Anita
