Hello FairVoting Friends,

We received an invitation from Divest Waterloo, Food Not Bombs, Citizen's
Climate Lobby and Vegan Climate to attend the upcoming *Climate
Conversations Pot Luck Dinner* on *Saturday, May 27th. * It looks like it
is going to be a super evening with great food, music and conversation. It
is an opportunity for us to connect with other activists from various
groups to share what we are doing and connect with like minded folks. The
evening is outlined in the email below. I plan to attend and hope that you
can join me on the 27th.

All the best,
Sharon

Hi Sharon, I hope you are enjoying some time off this weekend :)

I writing to invite you to our upcoming community potluck (the invitation
is below) and to ask if the Fairvote would like to set up a table with
information about electoral reform and the upcoming vote. As you can see in
the invitation, the potluck is focused on food and climate change and
justice and action, and we are hoping to have as many related information
tables as possible to demonstrate the variety of ways people can engage in
our community.

It would be wonderful if you could also have as many of your people as
possible join in the potluck dinner conversations to talk about the
important work you are doing. An important objective of this event is to
engage people in discussions that may inspire them to get involved and take
action.

To that end, please share this invitation with your team and members and
with others from climate/environment/food/justice focused groups in your
network because our goal for this evening is to not only share information
and ideas and food and climate change, but also to create an opportunity
for people who are engaged in related activities in our community to build
and strengthen relationships. These relationships are fundamental for
building our collective capacity and for creating more opportunities for
collaboration. If a group of people attending can talk at their dinner
tables about Farivote, then even more people will have an opportunity to be
inspired by your good work.

We are still sorting out music for the event... it promises to be a fun
evening :) You can see some photo's of the climate potluck we organized
last May here
<https://www.facebook.com/pg/foodjusticeandclimateactionwr/photos/?ref=page_internal>
.

If you don't have time or don't feel like cooking (and I doubt that) - no
worries, we will have lots of food from the demonstrations.

Please let me know about the information table asap so we can plan
accordingly, and thanks in advance for your help getting word out about
this!

laura

contributes a dish of food that is shared with the group. But this is a
potluck with a twist!

assemble your contribution in our new commercial kitchen. The kitchen will

lots of fridge space). Or come at 6pm for "just in time" food prep.

the recipes that will be demonstrated will be shared in the coming days.
