The Waterloo Region Mayan Project presents a documentary
screening of "Sin Miedo" (Fearless), a recently released film that
follows the search for justice by relatives of people missing during the
Guatemalan Civil War. 

This screening will be be followed by a talk and
Q&A with Guatemalan writer and activist, Paulo Estrada, who is featured
in the documentary and is currently a student of archaeology at the
Universidad de San Carlos in Guatemala City. 

When Paulo was one year
old his father Otto Estrada was disappeared by the Guatemalan army.

The
screening will take place on Tuesday June 19, 7:00 PM, at the First
Mennonite Church located at 800 King St East, Kitchener. Donations are
welcome and will go towards covering the costs of the screening and
Paulo's travel expenses tour. 

This event is organized on the
traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishnawbe and Neutral
peoples
