Yes, Andrew has been a big advocate for some time.
Chantal has also been an advocate.
It’s most unfortunate that the naysayers put out so much misinformation.
It’s even more unfortunate that too many people believe them.
Pointing at Italy and the few countries that have had dysfunction is not a good argument.
In addition to pointing out the inaccuracies, I feel one of the best arguments for PR is that NZ, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland to name a few have moved from FPTP to PR.
Name one country that has or is even thinking of going the other way.

Thank goodness for Andrew Coyne. Thanks for letting us know Mary.

Andrew Coyne had a good comment or two (without pushing it) on At Issue (CBC) last night about the dysfunction that can be wrought by FPTP once there are more than two parties.

Good Morning Everyone!
The Globe & Mail has an editorial in today's paper that supports studying our electoral system due to changes in the political landscape in which parties can no longer win clear majorities ie BC & NB.
Here is the link:

The comment section has much misinformation. It would be helpful if subscribers to the G&M could make a comment or two in support of PR or refuting some of the
misconceptions.
And, this in from Angus Reid on the 3 way split in the referendum in BC:

As is often the case, it will be about getting our supporters to vote and moving the undecideds to vote for PR.
Happy reading!
All the best,
Sharon
