[fvc-wat-disc] Idea for December meeting

As a way of helping make a decision about whether we should host a VIRTUAL social/networking event, is anyone willing to reach out to one or two other groups to see:
1) Whether the group would be interested in attending a VIRTUAL social/networking event in January/February
2) A general gist of what days of the week would be more convenient for the group

At this point, reaching out to other groups would be strictly for the purpose of information gathering. We have not as a group decided whether or not to host a VIRTUAL social/networking event.

From a practical perspective, I think that it is too late to organize a large VIRTUAL social event in December. If we want to host a VIRTUAL social event end of January or February we probably need to start planning in December.

The goal would be to use the meeting as a networking opportunity and invite as many other community groups as possible. This would be an opportunity to talk to community groups that we have not talked to in previous years. The goal of the event would not be to convince anyone of any one cause but to make friends and hopefully have a larger group of people we can call on for support when our group really needs it (and vice versa). The event kind of fits with us having social meetings in December in prior years.
