Hi, Everyone,
Just a reminder of our 'last-Wednesday-of-the-month' meeting this Wednesday.
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Place: the Civic Hub at
St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church
23 Water St. N. at the corner of Water St. and Duke St. ,
Kitchener
For anyone who is new
- enter by the door on Duke St.
- ring the bell if no one is there to open the door
Sharon will be chairing the meeting.
Agenda:
- updates from those who have met with MPs, Marwan Tabbara and Bardish
Chaggar, and Tim Louis
- report from the group who met to follow up from Jay's presentation on
the 'moral framing' approach of the PR4PR webinar. Jay, Corliss and Owen
met before Christmas.
- update about the website migration to the commercial server.
- update about the presentation to the Kitchener Centre Provincial
Liberal Association Board. Owen and Cathy will be making that presentation
on Feb. 5th. It will be a 30 minute presentation, including Q&A,
introducing what the FairVote is all about, what Citizens' Assemblies are,
and what our chapter does; perhaps a brief definition of what PR is.
- Update on the provincial Liberal leadership race ....where each
candidate stands on electoral reform & possibilities for Kate Graham. Kate
supports a binding CA on electoral reform.
- More brain storming on a CA event.
I am attaching Bob's notes from the November meeting.
Cathy
