Hi Dave,

The winner of the Ont. Liberal leadership campaign is Stephen DelDuca. He
is a centre right Liberal, a party insider and member of the Liberal
establishment. I spoke with him on Friday night about ER and he said he is
open to talking about it but not keen to open a "third rail" issue,
especially in light of the history of the federal Liberals on the ER file.
I understand that a number of Liberal members who are ER supporters will be
calling on him to initiate a conversation on ER.

The good news is that Kate Graham did very well and reflects progressive
voices in the OLP. She made a barn burner of a speech on Sat. which
impressed everyone. Due to the structure of the vote, no one could change
their vote at that point but she is a force to be reckoned with and I truly
hope she stays in the party and runs in 2022. As Brian Tanguay said,
Liberals are the lynch pin in achieving ER so we have to keep working on
them.

Can give more detail at our March meeting if anyone is interested.

Kind regards,
Sharon
