Thanks Anita. I think that will be helpful for visitors to the site.

I moved "chapters" up the drop-down menu on the national site.

Hi all
I asked Anita about information on the FVC website about local chapters.
She said results have been mixed in the past and it’s been difficult to have information kept up to date.
I did find the list of chapters but had to go to About Us, then to Contact, then to Chapters.
Rather round-about. I did ask Anita about that.
I counted 34 local chapters, 15 in Ontario and 10 in BC.
15 had Facebook pages and only 6 had websites and ours is down.
Obviously social media has pretty much taken over and I have to admit not for me.
I have Facebook but rarely use it.
Anyway, Anita made the following suggestions for reaching out.
Perhaps we should try to use them.

In terms of outreach and connecting with others in the PR movement, what would be much more useful for Waterloo would be :
Facebook: Get a volunteer to consistently do your facebook page. Right now you have 212 fans, most of which probably liked the page 8 years ago, which is not a lot for an area of 500,000 people. The only one who posts on there is me, and that's only occasionally when I post something generic on the national page and I want as many people as possible to see it, so I cross-post to a bunch of pages. Other than that, Jenn posted a national thing in Sept 2019 and Laurel posted in March 2019 - two years ago. There's rarely anything local posted. There's an opportunity to build your facebook community. Somebody who likes to make memes? Or create facebook events for your meetings?  Or post local letters to the editor with comments from FV Waterloo?

Twitter: I see you last posted Sept 2020, but before that it was mostly in 2019. If you get somebody active on that account FVC National will retweet you! Many more people will see that than anything on the website. Twitter is a great way to stay in touch with local journalists, too. Some folks like Jonathan Cassells is on twitter a lot and could take on this account.

Instagram: If you have anybody younger... :) Our national Instagram is finally getting going this year cause the TO team took it on.
