Joshua is organizing the canvassing:

"Joshua Smyth" <smyth.josh@gmail.com>

The farmers market booth is inside, across from the Al Madina's booth. It's in the "Sunday Market" section, so across Weber from the other market; beside TSC. It's a small building, so you won't have trouble finding it.

Staffing the booth at the farmers market is actually great fun. You will talk to a lot of people, and it's less of a one-way exchange (ie, you can have a conversation). It's my preferred campaign activity, but then, you can only do it on Saturday and Sunday. Also, people are expecting to be conversed with, so it's not as much of a "cold-call" as going door to door.

Hi Everyone,

I spoke at St. Aloysius School this evening. Crowd of about 30 people, and my guess is all but about five are collecting their CPP cheques. Which is great because well all know that SENIORS VOTE! It went fairly well, as I know I managed to change a few minds who got caught up in the fear that is being spewed from the NO side. One older women was scared that there would be a whole bunch of 'radical' parties taking power in Ontario. I told her that with the 3% threshold and about 5 million people eligible to vote (I'm not 100% if that is accurate), a 'radical' party would have to get 150,000 votes just to elect some members. Thats a TON of VOTES if you think about it. I think this is one way of putting down the 'radical parties' fear, or the fracturation argument spewed about by the NOMMP side.

As for what I can do next, Kevin, I can help out at the Farmer's market on Saturday from 11-2pm if that is of any use? I just need to know where the!
booth is located. I have never done this before, but I am sure it will mirror my speaking engagement.

Also, later that day I am wondering if people are still planning on doing some canvassing? Kevin, were you also organizing that? If so, I may just give you a ring after my shift at the Farmer's market to see if you guys are still out there. If not, I'll just go around my neighbourhood here in Kitchener Center.

Let me know about the Farmer's Market on Saturday.

Cheers,

Neil

> 1. Farmer's Market this weekend - Brian and Shannon? (Kevin Smith)
