I'll be seeing Larry Gordon this weekend for the Municipal Election
Finance Reform meeting. I can ask if/when he is available. I doubt
he'll be available for the "Rally to Resume Parliament (Waterloo
Region)" on 23 January; I expect he'll be speaking at the Toronto
rally. Here's info on the Waterloo rally:

How about it, mailing list members? Who would be interested in coming
to a presentation by Larry Gordon or someone else?<br>

<pre wrap="">Interesting point, Kevin. I think interest in the issue of proroguing parliament
is happening right now - by the time we got something like a speaker organized
trying to tap into that momentum the parliament might be back to work and the
issue might have lost interest and coverage... Wish I was super resourceful to
pull something together right now! I think just attending the Democracy rally
and handing out some flyers with our local sites Bob has made might get our
message out to new people.
Thanks for the response and discussion!

<pre wrap="">Hi folks:
It's all about how you market it. If it's a talk about democratic renewal,
and linked to the whole proroguing parliament issue, I think there would
be a lot of interest.

Hey, Shannon. Good to hear from you! It was actually Bob - bless his
heart!! -
that wrote the message and requested I send it out!
Shannon, what do you think about organizing something like London did,
where we
have Larry Gordon come do a public talk? I'm willing to do as much
publicity as
I can. I'd just be worried about getting enough people to show up to make
it
worth his while.
