<div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4692"><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4693"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:106%;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4694">This is a follow up to our earlier email.<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4695">  This Fall</span> we want to pick up
our outreach strategy to build awareness of and allies on the issue of
proportional representation (PR) in the community.<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4696">  </span>You may recall that last Spring Cathy Scott
and I asked for contact names for organizations with a focus on income
inequality.<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4697">  </span>This resulted in presentations
to three organizations (with a fourth pending).<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4698"> 
</span>A commitment from another two to distribute information on PR to 
their members and an interest from four to be contacted on our 
activity in
the future.<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4699">  </span>Finally, we are having joint meetings with the Council of Canadians local chapter!  So, not a bad start.<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4700">  </span></span></div></div>

to approach over time key organizations, groups and individuals in our
community which share like interests to ourselves.<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4705">  </span>We know that in countries with PR, there is
less income inequality, women are better represented in government, action on
the climate is greater and so on. </span></div>

to focus on one area at a time.<span style="" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1509320958711_4723">  </span>We want
to contact those with an interest in the area we identify, ideally some
community profile and with the potential for outreach themselves. We want to be
strategic and also keep the numbers manageable given our resources and so maximize
the impact of our efforts.</span></div>
