<p>I attended the All Candidates meeting on Wed at the Working Centre and attached with this note are my notes from that meeting.<br></p>
<p>The notes cover two aspects of the meeting:<br></p>
<p>1. The candidates priorities which were presented in 3 min at the start<br></p>
<p>2. Their answers too some of the questions<br></p>
<p>Please note the ranked ballot question & their respective answers<br></p>
<p>I was at the meeting because I represent a group of several citizen groups in Soith Litchener & Preston who want a different route for the LRT extension. Please note the way they replied to my LRT question<br></p>
<p>On the basis of this meeting and the individual meetings we have had with all 4 candidates I feel the best two are D'Ailly and Deutschmann. Hopefully that agrees with your assessment as well<br></p>

Local elections matter because the decisions made at Regional Council impact you, your family and business almost immediately.</p>
<p style="margin:0.357143em 0px;padding:0px;font-size:1em;line-height:1.42857em;color:#222222;font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;background-color:#f7f7f7">I am in favour of finding a way to get more voters engaged in local elections. Maybe ranked ballots could be considered as part of a larger electoral reform package similar to Australia's where there is mandatory voting? Anyone who does not vote is fined through the tax system.</p>
