Hi everyone: Below is the agenda for this week's FairvoteWRC Annual
General Meeting:

*What*: Fair Vote Waterloo Annual General Meeting
*When*: Wednesday, 24 April 2019 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
*Where*: Community Room, Bread and Roses Co-op
*Location*: 307 Queen Street South, Kitchener
*Map*: https://osm.org/go/ZXnwTLMg--?m=

But first:

== Election of Executive ==

We will be electing three to five members to the Executive. If you would
like to nominate someone (or yourself) please let me know.
Self-nominations will be accepted the meeting, nominations for others
will close on Tuesday at noon so I can verify the nominee's interest.
You do not have to be at the meeting to stand for nomination. If you
can't attend the meeting you can cast a proxy vote; send an e-mail
listing your choices to info at fairvotewrc.ca or to another member who
will attend. Please print any proxies you bring. Nominees will be
announced Tuesday evening.

You must be a paid-up Fair Vote Canada member to be nominated or vote;
memberships can be renewed on Wednesday for $25; first-time memberships
are $10. You can pay at the meeting on Wednesday (cash or cheque), or
join online at
https://secure.fairvote.ca/en/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=9

Cathy Scott will not be continuing in the role of Treasurer, but remains
on the Executive Board to complete her two-year term. The other
returning Executive member is me, Bob Jonkman, completing the second
year of a two-year term as Co-Chair. You can see a list of the current
Executive members at http://www.fairvotewrc.ca/executive/

We will be electing three to five people for a total of five to seven
members on the Executive Board. Once new members have been elected the
Board will choose the positions amongst themselves: Co-Chair (two-year
term), Secretary (two-year term), one to three Members-At-Large
(one-year term), and Treasurer. This year Treasurer will be a one-year
term to complete Cathy's vacancy; next year it will be a two-year term
position again. Note that the Co-Chair positions must be gender-balanced.

If there should be more than five nominees we will elect the Executive
Board by Single Transferable Vote.
