[fvc-wat-announce] A big thank you to everyone who helped Fair Vote Canada this election in Waterloo Region!

Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to send a thank you to everyone who stepped forward to help
promote PR and a National Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform during
this election in Waterloo Region.

Our team did a phenomenal job.

We got over *14,000 *door hangers on doors.

Most in Kitchener Centre, a significant amount in Waterloo, with some in
the other ridings. *This is over double what we did last time*. We engaged
a ton of new volunteers to organize and deliver. Evan did a fantastic job
overseeing the whole operation with the organizers, and making sure we
didn't run out of door hangers :). This was part of a cross-Canada effort
that saw over 300,000 hangers go out to volunteer organizers.

There were quite a few letters to the editor written - I'm sorry I don't
have the links on hand but Donald, Myron and anyone else I'm missing, thank
you!

Fair Vote Canada ran 50 radio spots on CHYM and 570 news highlighting
electoral reform champions running in our area.

We got all our big PR lawn signs up - about 15 of them I think. Thank you
so much to Stu and David for picking them all up this week!

We got a ton of earned media below this email.

AND - an MP who champions PR prominently was elected in this region (Mike
Morrice in Kitchener Centre)!!

Thanks so much to everyone who helped in all the different ways I've listed
- and more - to keep PR so high profile in this region.
