[fvc-wat-disc] Today in brochure news

The information Steve Withers sent to you and I is incorrect, Derek. My
contact in Kingston is a reliable source and just to prove it, I spoke with
someone at Publications Ontario myself 30 seconds ago. I tried to order
5000 brochures and the woman told me the maximum permitted is 1000 per
person. The 1000 I ordered will be shipped in 6 business days. I strongly
encourage people on the mailing list to call and order 1000 brochures so
that we will have enough for our campaign before Publications Ontario runs
out. My Kingston contact told me the government does not plan to do another
run of the brochures and I think we should take her advice seriously
considering that she was correct about everything else she told me.

Steve Withers hasn't mentioned any limit, and in fact he recommends
requesting a huge amount. Apparently they (Publications Ontario) are running
short and we want to trigger a "huge" print run. He says to ask for at least
10000, but since this might be all we get until the end of the campaign, I
would suggest we go for a higher number. 20000?

By the way, the phone number to order OCA brochures is 1-800-668-9938.

You actually need to order the brochures over the phone at this point. I
met with one of the referendum campaigners in Kingston over the weekend and
she told me that the website is no longer processing brochure orders and the

orders need to be made by phone. My contact also told me that the
government has capped the request for brochures to 1000 per person. Given
that Kevin needs 800 of them for CUPE alone, and we will need hundreds for
the farmers' market booth over the course of the campaign, I think several
of us should call in and request brochures as individuals (not on behalf of
the chapter) so that we can build up our supplies. I am on holidays this
week so I can definitely call in an order for a 1000 brochures. Can anyone
else besides Brian and myself call in an order?

I tried to order more OCA pamphlets yesterday, but the website wouldn't
let me. Gave me some sort of error message and because the site was so
slow, I gave up. I'll try again later today.

I printed off a total of 225 of the leaflets that Kevin made.

We are running low on the OCA brochures at the Farmer's Market.

Has another order been put in? Does anybody have a stash they would be

willing to send to market?
