[fvc-wat-disc] Media watch: Elmira Independent

Hi all:  This week's Elmira Independent has two mentions of the MMP 
referendum:  An article about Angela Yenssen's presentation to Wellesley 
Township's Council; and a brief mention at the bottom of the Editor's 
column.

The article was nicely neutral as a newspaper article should be, 
although I think it mis-stated the wording of the referendum: "Voters 
will have the opportunity to cast a yes vote in favour of the proposed 
system [...]".

The editorial was also neutral on the choice of voting systems, but 
pointed out that with poor voter turnout and with voters not adequately 
informed of the issues, the outcome of the referendum "is likely to be 
decided by the 'eeny-meeny' approach to decision-making."
