Hi All,
On election night I saw Brian on television talking about the election and
referendum but I could not hear him in the bar. Last night I saw Brian talking on
the French channel but I could not understand him, but at least he is still out
there getting the message out.
In Saturday Oct 13ths paper under editorials & letters it talks about the
University of Laurier students not being able to vote and on the next page there
was an article written by William Christian about the results of the election and
slamming MMP. This man is a university professor and the things he said blows my
mind, he said voters should not show ID, voters should be encouraged to vote, but
his own students were probably not allowed. He said MMP is a stupid system, but
does not recommend a better one. He suggests there is a problem but he offers
Ideas but is not willing to offer solutions. Why is he allowed to criticize and
suggest without investing in his own words. Who does he expect to take up the
fight, uneducated people about politics like the general public or people
invested like the smaller parties. This man needs to stop misinforming the public
based on his opinion and using his credential as a excuse for his opinion because
in my mind he really does not sound educated. We need to stop the paper from
giving people like this so much power. Does anyone having any ideas short of
boycotting the paper and writing letters that never get published.
