This is great. Thanks, Aden, Diane and Chris for helping me with this! I am amazed and appreciative of all of you stepping forth so quickly. I think I have enough graphs and charts now! Look for some version of them at our events during Democracy Week events... I think it's worth spending the money to get them printed big and in colour to use for the next few years. It was actually while I was at our table at Tribute to Woodstock festival that a woman who had been on the Ontario Citizen's Assembly in 2007 stopped by and told me we should have a graph again!

Hey, I did these graphs in Photoshop, let me know if you want the PSD files. I wish I saw this was already done in excel, before I started working on it, but hopefully you can still use the jpgs.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for someone who can volunteer to help me out a bit. I'd like to make a graph out of the 2011 election stats, showing how many seats each party won under our current system, and how many they would have won under PR.

Something like a bar graph, with the colour of the bars matching the parties - whatever someone could look at and see quickly how things would have been different if the seats matched the popular vote. I'd like to put it on our display table during Democracy Week, and in the presentations I give. Can anyone help? I've never done a graph on a computer, and while I can learn, it would take me time I need to use advertising Democracy Week. Anyone willing to do this would be very much appreciated!!

P.S. If you know how to make a graph easily, it would be great to have a graph for the 2008 numbers, too, which were even more dramatic in terms of the distortion between seats and popular vote.

      Here's the 2011 stats:

      Current System:

      Cons: 167
      NDP: 102
      Liberal: 34
      Bloc: 4
      Greens: 1

      With PR:

      Cons: 122
      NPD: 95
      Liberals: 59
      Bloc: 19
      Green: 13
