Subject: A Name for our 2015 Campaign

Hi Fair Vote Canada chapters, teams and supporters!

At our annual AGM and Convention, Fair Vote Canada decided that a campaign to achieve federal PR in 2015 is our top strategic priority for the next three years.

With all three federal opposition parties talking about electoral reform, and an unprecedented awareness growing among the public of what a "majority" elected on 39% of the popular vote can do, we have a historic opportunity to demand proportional representation, and make it a ballot box issue.

Our first step is to develop a branded campaign name. (For example, our friends in the environmental movement branded their campaign last spring "Black Out Speak Out." )

Send us your ideas for a name for campaign 2015. Brainstorm. Ask your friends. In a couple of weeks or less, we'll take the best ideas and put them out to you for a vote.

P.S. Below are some slogan ideas we collected from you last year. Maybe some of them could be shortened to make a campaign name. Maybe we will have a name with a slogan underneath. (It's hard for PR advocates to be really short and concise and still communicate to people what we are talking about). It's kind of funny - I put this question out to our facebook page the answers coming back are things like "Make Every Vote Count 2015":)

The government we voted for: no more, no less.
No voter left behind.

Stable, effective, accountable. The government Canadians want.

More than ever, Canada needs democracy.

Respect your neighbours and yourself. Support your neighbours with proportional representation.

Demand equal votes and equal representation.

Demand democratic voting.

Give Her a Voice (could be used with a person with duck taped mouth)We Need Her/His Voice in Parliament
He/She Deserves to Be Heard

Support your neighbours: Vote for the world's most popular voting system - proportional representation
