After reading *http://www.fairvote.ca/ndp-leadership-race/
<http://www.fairvote.ca/ndp-leadership-race/> *on Anita's post, I don't
like Charlie's promise of a referendum after 2 terms of PR ... New Zealand
did that because the National Party had committed to do so before the
election ... I don't trust the Canadian electorate to inform themselves
even after 2 terms ... if MMPR is in the platform, then election gives the
mandate, although one might argue that it only holds if a party WINS the
election.

Once MMPR is implemented, it can still be reversed without a referendum IF
the electorate elected a majority C or L government ... not likely, but
possible, so nobody can claim that there is no way out.
