[fvc-wat-disc] An Interesting Week For PR

I support electoral reform because our democracy is broken.

it is not so much that democracy is broken in that it; rather our political
systems are not able to cope with our present realities.

I am anxious our experiment with democracy may fail if our political
systems do not continue to evolve:

(I am anxious that our experiment with humankind may fail eh).

I remain hopeful, however, and believe as a Canadian there is a role for
Canada.

For example:

At one time in the geographical area of Canada person needed to be a
significant landowner to have a voice,

Then there was the early 1920's when women in Canada were declared persons
and allowed to have a voice by secret ballet.

It was not until 1960 that our indigenous hosts got the right to vote in
Canadian elections.

>Furthermore: IF we had a mixed form of proportional representation in the
last Federal election our Right Honourable Trudeau would have had some
elected MP's from Western Canada for form his cabinet eh?.

Best regards and sincerely,
Myron Daniel Steinman

Finally to paraphrase our current Prime Minister of Canada; After all it is
2019.

And lastly; the issues we face our too complex, and require the buy in of
all our residents, now and present...and indeed the past as well yes?

Lastly we have the technology to enable us to have a mixed form of
proportional representation with Confederation.

But what we are asking form is a "Citizens Assembly"...democracies need to
continue to evolve eh.
