Hi everyone: Hope it's not to late to send you a quick reminder of the
Electoral Reform 101 presentation with Sean Geobey, being held in the
Queen Street Commons Cafe tonight at 7:00pm. This is a joint event of
CAPP (Canadians Advocating Political Participation) and the Waterloo
Region chapter of Fair Vote Canada.

The Queen Street Commons Cafe is at 43 Queen St. South, in Kitchener.

This session is for those new to the topic of electoral reform and those
more acquainted with it who have thoughts and questions.

Sean Geobey, Fair Vote Canada National Council member, will cover:

1) Why our current system isn't working for Canadians

2) What proportional representation is, and how it would actually work
in Canada, including the "mixed" systems most often recommended for Canada

Most importantly, it's a chance to bring all your questions - general
and specific - to be answered in a small group setting!

No cost. Coffee and goodies can be purchased at the cafe.

Sean Geobey is a member of Fair Vote Canada and serves on the National
Council.

--Bob Jonkman
Co-chair, Fair Vote Waterloo

(apologies to the Discussion List members, who may receive this reminder
twice)
