Yes, these sort of discussions are exactly why we need electoral reform.

In terms of the agreement out west, in addition to the items Jonathan
mentioned, I do note that the Liberal who was on the receiving end of the "
"pre-election alliance" didn't even bother to vote in favour of the ERRE
committee report. These deals are suspect to me in principle, and that
action absolutely took it off the table.
